Your offers and your customers stay yours.
Here is exactly what happens to your offers, your customers' requests and what you forward on WhatsApp. It's the most sensitive thing a trader owns. We buy on the same market, so the rules are written down, short, and the same for every customer.
7-day free trial, no card required
- Nothing shared between traders
- Files read, then deleted
- Never used to train a model
- Hosted in Frankfurt (EU)
Kept, in your workspace
- The lines read from each file: reference, description, price, currency, incoterm
- The file name and row number behind every figure on screen
- The offer date you set, and the supplier name if you gave one
- Your customers' requests: product, quantity, customer, and their status
- Your WhatsApp number, if you linked it, and what you confirmed with YES
- Your account: name, company, e-mail, a salted hash of your password
- Removed items, dated and signed, restorable in one click
Not kept
- The spreadsheet itself: read once, then deleted
- The forwarded WhatsApp message: its content goes after your YES or NO, and after 24 hours at the latest
- Your card: Stripe holds it, Merconto never sees it
- A copy of your offers or requests for training: never, and never shown to another trader
- Advertising trackers: none on the site, none in the application
What happens to a file, step by step.
- 1
You upload it, or paste it.
An Excel, a CSV, or a message, as received. The supplier name is optional.
- 2
A model reads it.
The lines (references, descriptions, prices) are read by a third-party model, Anthropic's, under commercial terms that forbid using them for training. It reads and matches; it calculates nothing.
- 3
The lines are extracted.
Each line keeps its file name and row number. That is the trace behind every figure on screen.
- 4
The file is deleted.
Once read, the spreadsheet is removed. It is neither stored nor logged.
- 5
The lines live in your workspace.
In Frankfurt, on an encrypted persistent disk, for as long as your workspace exists. Cancel the subscription and everything stays. Ask us to close the workspace (contact@merconto.com) and its data is erased from the database within thirty days; the privacy policy says what happens to backups.
And what happens to a WhatsApp message.
Merconto doesn't read your groups or your chats: only what you forward to its number.
- 1
You link your number, once.
A code to send to Merconto's number, valid for fifteen minutes. The address on your account gets an email for every number linked.
- 2
You forward an offer or a request.
The message goes through WhatsApp, a service of Meta Platforms Ireland, then it's read by Anthropic's model, just like a file.
- 3
Merconto replies to your number, and only yours.
It shows what it read and waits for your YES. It writes to nobody else: not your suppliers, not your customers.
- 4
YES saves the lines, not the message.
The message content goes after your YES or NO, and after 24 hours at the latest. What stays is the lines saved in your workspace.
Four rules that do not move.
- 1
Every figure is traceable.
Each price points back to the file and the row it came from. No figure on screen ever comes out of a language model: the model reads and matches, Merconto converts, calculates and checks.
- 2
Files are read, then deleted.
We keep the extracted lines and nothing else.
- 3
Supplier names are optional.
Blank them out before uploading if you would rather. Matching works on models and barcodes, not on who sent the offer.
- 4
Nothing is shared between traders.
Merconto is not a marketplace: nothing is published. Your offers, your prices and your customers' requests are shown only to members of your workspace, and are never used to train any model. The only thing derived from them is a purchase-price reference detached from any customer: the product (matching key, brand, barcode), its price as quoted and converted into euros, the offer date and the date it was saved, with no workspace, supplier or upload attached. It is kept for a future market reference and is not used yet.
Three roles.
- Owner. Everything: uploads, team, billing, settings.
- Member. Uploads, agent, requests, exports, and the shared calculation settings. Manages neither the team nor the payment.
- Read-only. Sees every screen and every figure, changes nothing.
Members join by the invitation link the Owner passes on, or by an invitation e-mail. Seats depend on the plan. A member who leaves disappears from the team list; the row stays in the database, dated, never erased.
Frankfurt, European Union.
The application, app.merconto.com, runs on Render in Frankfurt, Germany, on an encrypted persistent disk. Accounts, extracted lines and the supplier memory are stored there; an encrypted copy leaves every day for storage in the European jurisdiction. The public site is served by Vercel, with cookie-free audience measurement; the application has none, and neither has advertising trackers. Three cookies in all: your language choice on the site, your session and the remembered browser in the application. Passwords are stored salted and hashed; the application's cookies are HttpOnly.
Paid through Stripe.
Subscriptions are paid by Stripe Checkout; card, invoices and cancellation go through the Stripe customer portal. Merconto never sees or stores your card. Compare the plans →
Removed, never erased.
A supplier, an upload, a reference or a request is removed, dated and signed, and leaves every screen and every calculation. It can be restored in one click from Settings. The agent works the same way: it proposes, you confirm, you can undo.
How the agent proposes and confirms →Removed items leave every screen and every calculation. Nothing here is erased.
Merconto sends nothing on your behalf.
Alerts go to you alone: on your linked WhatsApp and in the app. The negotiation e-mail is a draft you copy and send yourself. The monthly report is read on screen, downloaded as a PDF or, if you ask, e-mailed to the address on your account and to no other. Merconto never contacts a supplier or a customer.
